about crushedegg

Fiction, shorts, plays, poetry

Random fact:  my childhood hero was Boris Becker. You know this is a good thing.

Bizarre truth:  since the age of 24 I have always carried a copy of Albert Camus’ The Outsider.  I like its weight in my bag.

Watch out for:  new novel the futility complex to be published 2012.

Parting shot:  Catcher in the Rye is not overrated.

I agree that Catcher in the Rye is not overrated but i have recently tried to teach it. Zut alors- what is there to say, if i ask any more questions about Holden’s dual identity I may have to sack myself for being boring. Time to return to The Outsider & Steppenwolf. I have to admit that this has made me wonder whether Salinger has been trumpeted beyond the length and depth of his instument?? sacrilege. If you have any thoughts please share….Loss of faith, Leeds.
